Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV)

Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRV’s) are mechanical devices that exchange stale indoor air with fresh outdoor air. They provide energy-efficient mechanical ventilation. HRVs run very quietly. HRV fans are usually virtually inaudible. The HRV is critical to remove humidity from the home. Water damage due to misuse is not covered by warranty.

The HRV hose is for any condensate drainage. Maintenance of the hose is homeowner responsibility. Please see HRV manual for cleaning instructions.

The HRV Filter filters dust from coming in through the HRV system. Clean filter regularly. See HRV manual for instructions.

Dirty or clogged filters, drains – this is normal homeowner maintenance.
HRV not running – contact Pacesetter Warranty during the warranty period. After the builder warranty has expired, contact the heating company directly to arrange repairs. Proper maintenance of the HRV should ensure efficient operation.
